Choys Brothers Troupe was set up some 15 years ago in 1989. Over the years it has established itself as a reliable, creative and innovative company providing quality services in the area of opera performances, lion dances, dragon dances, martial arts performances, acrobatics and stilt-walking. In addition, the company provides event management services which can include providing choreography, planning and organising of activities and performances.

Choys Brothers Troupe performs frequently in hotels, the airport, shopping centre, various tourist attractions eg Sentosa. It has been invited to participate in many national and major events such as the National Day parade, River Hongbao, Chinese Cultural Month celebrations, Traditional Opera Festival, the Singapore Arts Festival, Lantern Festival and Dumpling Festival, just to name a few.

Besides local performances and events, Choys Brothers Troupe has also been invited to perform at many prestigious overseas events. It has been sent by the Singapore Tourism Board to stage martial arts demonstrations in the United States of America, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Spain and South Africa. It has provided lion dances, stilt-walkers, flag acrobatics in major international events like the Food Festival in Mumbai just this year, the Singapore Food Festival in Stockholm in 2002, the Hanover Universal Expo in 200, as well as in New Zealand in celebration of the new millennium in 1999.

Choys Brothers Troupe is also well known for its Monkey God and God of Fortune performances. These are especially in demand, besides the lion dances, during the lunar new year celebrations.
